Got a package #3: SD/BB Banshee, RG gundam mkII and MG Strike gundam + I.W.S.P.

So this has been a while that I posted something here. In the past months I have build 2 kits. The SD/BB Banshee and the RG zeta gundam, but posts comming for them later on.

In the meantime I have gotten 3 kits. The SD/BB Banshee which I got as a pressent from friends for my birthday. Which is a really nice and simple kit to build. It will keep you busy for a couple of hours and in the end with all the gold plastic and stickers it looks really good.

WIP: Hobby Boss Dora 3

WIP: Hobbyboss Dora 2

So I am back with the railway cannon Dora. Since my last WIP about it I completed the carts and smaller bridge units. And started assembly on one of the 2 big bridge parts. Which consists of 2 big pieces glued together. which left a reasonable seam which I filled in with putty for the part of the seams that will be visible after everything is finished.

seeing this is my first ever kit with photo-etch parts it was quite hard to get the big pieces on first time arround.

WIP: Hobbyboss Dora

So this is going to be my first of probably many work in progress posts about this huge modelkit. so far I have built the tracks and built the 4 inner carriages and completed those, and partially build the 4 outer carriages with 1 of them completed as far as they are completed at this point in the instructions.

The very first parts to build next to the tracks ofcourse are the carriages that actually make contact with the tracks. This requires a total of 40 axles and 80 wheels.

Tamiya M1A2 SEP ABRAMS TUSK II

So it has been a long time since I wrote something on here. This is mostly due to me not having build anything, or well I build the RG strike and skygrasper and the RG RX-78 but didnt make pictures of them yet seeing I dont know yet what I am gonna do with them at this time.

So now for the kit this post is about, I bought the newest M1A2 ABRAMS kit from Tamiya, the TUSK II version. Which stands for Tactical Urban Survival Kit. Meaning is has extra armor to withstand anti-tank mines, reactive armor against rockets and extra protection arround the hatches for the commander and the loader.

Well hello everyone reading my blog, in my last news post I talked about a plamo kit I was keeping secret for now from everyone. So here it is. Got it for sinterklaas and my birthday as a present. I will let the pictures do all the talking on this.

News update

Hello again everyone.

So this message is gonna have a lack of pictures(none actually), its just a short update message of whats comming in for me in this month of happyness. I got 4 gunpla kits in order arriving half december by the shipping estimate at the moment. The PG skygrasper + aile strike pack, the RG RX-78-2, the RG Aile strike gundam and the RG skygrasper with the launcher and strike packs. I also bought a pile of gunpla action bases from someone on the mecha lounge forum giving me a much cheaper deal then buying them here.

And as for a last thing I am getting a modelkit soon which I will keep a secret for now till I get it.

So wait till further updates soon.

Got a package #2: PG Strike Gundam

This has been a while ago, so I got a new package the PG Strike Gundam. This is one that has been on my wish list for a long time.

Finished work: MG Sandrock EW

So after like 1.5 months its finally finished, Sandrock, it was about time and that means I can start my Strike Gundam Head.

I got a package #1

Hello again, so yes I know the title isn't original.

So today I got my first resin kit delivered home, the Super G recast of the NeoGrade 1/24 Gundam evolve 8 strike head & cockpit + LED system. As you may already know I am a huge SEED fan. And this looked like a good kit to start with resin. As I look at it I think the casting quality is overall good, just nubs and extra bits, haven't spotted any airbubbles yet.

WIP 2: MG sandrock

So I have finally been able to start painting my Sandrock, even though its 35 degrees(celcius) outside and a nice high humidity.So far I have painted the innerframe, and started on the 2 blades of its heat shotels and tried some pre-shading on the shoulder armor and its shield.

Part of the innerframe and heat shotel handles and the beam machine gun. The innerframe is made metalic grey and the parts of the weapons are gun metal.

WIP: MG Sandrock EW

So here I am again after a few weeks since my last post. I havent done much on modeling, I built the Sandrock and made some pictures before taking it apart again to paint(which I actually have been waiting for the paint to arrive, which should be in the next few days now). So my plan is to paint it all in the same colour it is now, but trying new things like adding some shading and some other effects with a weathering set.

My first airbrush results.

Hello again. So a few days ago I posted pictures of the airbrush I bought. and today I finally had the chance to test it out on 2 cheap models. The F-117 and the F-19, the F-19 had a lot of flash problems so a lot of sanding had to be done and also a few other things which make look some parts really bad. I used the revell aqua paint that came with the F-117. I also applied some of the decals.

So yeah the title is self explanatory. I ordered an airbrush and compressor.

MG Sandrock EW and more

Hi there again. As I posted yesterday I changed my backorder MG Deathscythe EW in for the MG Sandrock EW. I got it in today and shot some pictures of the box and contents.

A small update

So I decided to make a small post to update my status on gunpla. The MG deathscythe EW is taking me to long to arrive so I exchanged it at the store for a MG sandrock EW which should be arriving tomorrow. And I am gonna be ordering a compresser and airbrush this week too so when I get everything I will post pictures ofcourse. And I am probably getting a smaller revell kit like a plain to test out the airbrush.

Ok, well this blog is called 'The Gunpla of Strike_Lorri' but I am not just limited to gundams which I like to build. So expect me to put up other modelkits too that I come across and that I like or maybe even want to have. So share your opinion on them and let me know what you think of them.

So i was out looking arround in the local toy store where they also sell modelkits and i saw this monstrosity of a kit. As was clear i love big modelkits. And this German 80cm K(E) railway gun "dora" is huge, at completion, it will measure 1.11 metres long and 21 cm wide after completion. This kit is gonna go on my wishlist for after i get an airbrush and am able to do things with the airbrush because seeing pictures online its clear this thing needs to get painted(plastic comes in a sand colour).

Welcome back, so it has been a while, busy with school, now started my summerjob, so still having little time. But I wanted to make a list of gundams I still want as model kits. And I welcome everyone to let me know in the comments which I should also take a look at or would fit with the gundams I already want, or just something totally different that you could advise me to take a look at.
